Haraka Freight International's East Africa logistics network is built around the routes our customers use every day. In Eastern Africa, we create and deploy practical transportation, warehousing and distribution services in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi, as well as transit commodities to Goma and Bukavu.

The corridors that connect it
Two regional transport corridors tie our network to the sea:
- Northern Corridor: from the port of Mombasa through Kenya and Uganda into Rwanda, and on to Burundi and eastern DRC. Coordinated by the Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (opens in a new tab).
- Central Corridor: from the port of Dar es Salaam through Tanzania into Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC. Coordinated by the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (opens in a new tab).
Working on both corridors gives our customers options. If one route is congested, disrupted or more expensive, we can often use the other. See our guide to East Africa logistics corridors.
Why Kigali works as a regional base
Kigali sits between the two corridors and close to the borders with Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the DRC. That makes it a practical place to clear goods, hold stock and distribute to neighbouring markets. Many of our customers use Rwanda as a base for regional logistics, serving several countries from one warehouse.

Keeping the network moving
Borders and conditions in the Great Lakes region change from time to time, for health, security or political reasons. We monitor the situation on each lane and confirm the routing before every dispatch, so our customers are not caught out.
